The MHHC Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation whose mission is "to promote health and well being in underserved communities." The Foundation's primary focus is the support of Morris Heights Health Center, Inc. The MHHC Foundation is comprised of the Board of Directors and Friends of MHHC Foundation. Since 1997, the MHHC Foundation has raised more than $2 million from grants and galas. These funds have been used to support the activities of the Center, ranging from the renovation and refurbishing of the Childbearing Center, the establishment of a comprehensive asthma and allergy treatment program, and the upgrading of technology to keep pace with the growing complexity of the health care business.
