Dr. Wanda McCoy has held the position of Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs of Morris Heights Health Center since 1994. Joining MHHC in 1990 as a pediatrician, Dr. McCoy very quickly rose to Chief of Pediatrics in 1991. Dr. McCoy's tenure has been marked by numerous accomplishments. Through her efforts, a residency program for internal medicine and pediatrics was established with Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center. She also facilitated a primary care rotation program with Bronx Lebanon Hospital Physician Assistant Program, for which she received their Outstanding Service Award in 1996. In addition to her very busy schedule at MHHC, Dr. McCoy is Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Adjunct Professor at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education. Along with other physicians and faculty of the Sophie Davis School of Medicine, Dr. McCoy has developed a medical course that is taught on-site at community health centers. She earned an AB degree from Brown University and MD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed post graduate training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Affiliated Hospitals. Prior to joining MHHC, Dr. McCoy was an Attending Pediatrician at Woodhull Medical Center and at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Affiliated Hospitals.
